Who needs a coach?

For anyone who thought that having a coach is just for those with "a problem to fix" or "something wrong", take a moment to think about the best athletes in the world. You wouldn't find a top player in pretty much any sport who didn't have a coach. Is that because the coach can play better tennis, golf, soccer, football? Well, if they could, then they probably would and would earn a lot more! No, this is about those athletes recognizing that they have more potential to be the best they can possibly be when they partner with a coach who has the ability to bring out the best in them. Health coaching has similarities to this....and who doesn't want to have optimal health and live their best life? Being truly healthy is about much more than diet and exercise. We all have our own vision of what it means to live our best life...and we are all different. Some want to be able to take the grandchildren to the park without getting out of breath, while others want to run marathons and climb mountains. Working with a health coach can help you figure out your ideal picture of health and then partner with you as you set about achieving it. Whether you are looking to change specific unhealthy habits or just trying to feel better, it has to be worth seeing if working with a health coach could help.
